The Tradition performs oldtime country music. The low and gritty vocals of Douglas Richard Sinclair blend into the bellowing tone of his six string guitar. Sinclair performs along side his hired guns on electric guitar, bass, and drums. The Tradition satisfies the souls search for sounds from a simpler time. They play songs from the likes of Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Willie Nelson, and many other country music heroes.
The band began their rambling in early 2017, and performed at several venues and festivals around Southern Ontario. The band honed in praises from audiences at The Horseshoe Tavern, Acton Leathertown Festival, Georgetown Craft Beer Festival, and Chudleigh's Entertainment Farm.
Sinclair recorded the "Bare Bones" EP at his home studio. He released the EP in the summer of 2019. Sinclair upholds the spirit of oldtime country music: raw grit, three chords, and the truth.
