The Tradition performs old-timey country music. They play songs from the likes of Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Willie Nelson, and many other country music heroes. The voice of Douglas Richard Sinclair ranges from sombre lows to moonshine highs. Sinclair performs alongside his hired guns on electric guitar, bass, and drums. The Tradition satisfies the soul’s search for sounds from a simpler time.

The band began their ramblin’ in 2017. They performed at several venues and festivals around Southern Ontario. The band honed in praises from audiences at The Horseshoe Tavern, Goodlot Brewery, Elora Brewing Co, Skol House, Acton Leathertown Festival, Georgetown Craft Beer Festival, to name a few.

The Tradition recorded “Live at Lincoln County” on December 5th 2021. The band recorded live off the floor with John Dinsmore at Lincoln County Social Club in Toronto. Mitch Fillion of Southern Souls captured two of the performances on video. The Tradition upholds the spirit of old-timey country music: grit, three chords, and the truth.
